We are calling all ABVA members, vets or owners of dogs who visit the site to take a few minutes to help Alison with this really valuable research.

The survery closes on 5th March 2021, so please select the first survey for vets or the second for owners.

My name is Alison Caldwell-Nichols and I am a Veterinary Physiotherapist conducting research as part of my MSc studies at University of Nottingham.  I am researching the impact of Covid-19 on the management and treatment of canine osteoarthritis in the UK. I am hopeful that the research will provide useful results for owners, individual clinicians and for the wider veterinary industry.  The first stage of the research involves a questionnaire for vets and complementary therapists, and a separate questionnaire for owners.  There will later be an opportunity for participants in the study to volunteer to take part in interviews and focus groups if they wish.

I understand this is a topic which may be of interest to you and I would like to invite you and colleagues at your practice to participate in the research.  I appreciate that it is a very difficult time for colleagues in the veterinary profession at the moment, however the questionnaire should only take up 5-10 minutes of your time.  I am hoping to get a good number of suitable respondents to ensure that the study provides valid results.   The questionnaire will be closed after 4 weeks or once the target number of relevant responses is reached.

I hope that you feel able to support and promote my research.  The link to the survey is below:

There is a separate questionnaire for owners, which can be accessed here:
